Terms of Use — Closer to God

These terms govern your use of the Closer to God app (the "app") and the website closertogod.app. The app and website are operated by Munther Ventures LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us"), 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. Contact: friends@closertogod.app.

By using the app or website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

1. What Closer to God is

Closer to God is a Bible study and reflection app offering daily verses, lessons, audio stories, a private journal, prayers, and answers to common questions about faith. It is independent and not affiliated with any church or denomination.

Nothing in the app is professional, medical, psychological or legal advice. If you are in crisis or need urgent support, please contact a licensed professional or your local emergency services.

2. Free and Premium

Much of the app is free. Premium unlocks additional content, such as the full story library with narration and the full collection of Big Questions. Premium is available as:

• Monthly — an auto-renewing subscription billed every month
• Annual — an auto-renewing subscription billed every year
• Lifetime — a one-time purchase

Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency, and may vary by country. We may change prices for future purchases; a change never affects a period you have already paid for.

3. Subscriptions and automatic renewal

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
• Monthly and Annual subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for the same period, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.
• If we ever offer a free trial, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.

4. Lifetime membership

A Lifetime membership is a single payment that gives you Premium for as long as we offer Closer to God and its Premium content, without further charges. It isn't a subscription and doesn't renew.

5. Lifetime gift

Each Lifetime membership bought in the app includes one gift: a code for a Lifetime membership that you can give to someone else.

• You claim the gift in the app (Profile) by choosing the recipient's platform (iPhone or Android). The code works on that platform only.
• The code is an App Store offer code or a Google Play promo code and is redeemed with Redeem a code in the app.
• Each code can be redeemed once and must be redeemed by the date shown with it. If an unredeemed code expires, contact us and we'll do our best to replace it.
• Gift codes have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money, and may not be sold.
• Lifetime memberships received as a gift or through a promotional code don't include another gift.

6. Refunds and the right of withdrawal

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds are handled by them under their own policies; we can't issue refunds directly. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com (App Store) or through your Google Play order history.

If you live in the EU, EEA or UK: Premium is digital content supplied immediately after purchase. By completing the purchase, you agree to immediate access and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once access begins. This doesn't affect any other rights you have under consumer law.

7. Restoring purchases

If you reinstall the app, change phones or delete your data, tap Restore Purchases (on the membership page or in Profile) to restore a membership bought with the same Apple or Google account.

8. Promotional codes

We may offer promotional codes, for example as launch offers. Promotional codes are limited, single-use, non-transferable unless we say otherwise, have no cash value, and may be changed or withdrawn at our discretion before they are redeemed.

9. Your data and account

The app works without creating an account with an email address or password. Your progress is tied to an anonymous ID on your device, and your journal stays on your phone. Our Privacy Policy explains what we store and why. You can erase everything at any time with Delete my data in Profile.

You're responsible for keeping your device secure. If you uninstall the app or delete its data, information stored only on your device can't be recovered.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the app for any unlawful purpose;
• try to access, modify or interfere with our systems, databases, or other users' data;
• misuse, resell or generate promotional or gift codes without authorization;
• submit abusive, hateful or harmful content through any story-submission or sharing feature.

We may suspend or restrict access for violations of these terms.

11. Content you share with us

If you submit a personal story, testimony or other content for possible inclusion in the app (for example through "Share your story"), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to edit, adapt and publish it in the app and our marketing, unless we agree otherwise in writing. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

12. Intellectual property and Scripture

The app's lessons, illustrations, audio, design and branding belong to us or are licensed to us. You may not copy, redistribute or repurpose them outside personal use without our written permission.

Scripture quotations are from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), which is in the public domain. The King James Version, where you choose it, is also used freely.

13. App store terms

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies. If you downloaded it from Google Play, Google Play's terms of service also apply. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content.

14. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it accurate and reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted or always available. Reflections and answers in the app represent one perspective among many on matters of faith, not the official doctrine of any denomination.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

16. Changes and ending use

We may update these terms as the app evolves. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app about material changes. You can stop using the app at any time and delete your data with Delete my data.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country.
